Our Programmes
Anubhuti – The Experience
Launched in 2015–16, Anubhuti is the flagship fellowship programme of KSICT at Lady Sivaswamy Iyer Girls Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, Chennai. The programme was conceived to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent deserving children from completing their secondary education. The founder of the Trust was an alumna of the school.
Every year, approximately 20 girls entering Grade 7 from underprivileged, single-parent, or economically weaker families are selected into the fellowship. Each child receives support for school fees, uniforms, and stationery until she graduates from high school. As of 2026, the Trust supports approximately 75 students annually with an investment of nearly ₹10 lakh each year.

Many students supported through Anubhuti have gone on to secure scholarships, excel in competitive examinations, and pursue higher education with confidence.
Programme Milestones
Introduced professional coaching in Spoken English and Hindi; supported science learning through external tutors; partially sponsored a school volleyball tournament.
Continued language training; facilitated students' participation in Hindi Prathamik examinations; partnered with KriVid YA to introduce experiential STEM education.
Instituted an annual recognition ceremony honouring academic achievers with awards and a commemorative dinner.
During COVID-19, provided 21 laptops to students of Classes XI and XII to ensure uninterrupted online learning.
Extended educational support to 10 national-level volleyball players, helping them continue schooling alongside sports.
Facilitated the installation of 10 desktop computers through a corporate partnership, strengthening digital access.
Introduced Abacus-based mathematics training through a specialist tutor to improve foundational numeracy and logical thinking.
Urjaa – The Energy
Urjaa was established to strengthen educational opportunities for children at the Government Higher Secondary School, Radhanarasimmapuram, in Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. The village is the ancestral home of the Trust's founders, and the programme is the Trust's way of giving back to the community that shaped its roots.
Each year, the fellowship supports approximately 30 children from socio-economically disadvantaged families. The project runs at a cost of approximately ₹6 lakh annually.
Integrated Support Model
- Annapurna — A nutritious breakfast before morning learning sessions, ensuring hunger never becomes a barrier to attendance.
- Garuda — Safe transport to and from school, reducing absenteeism for students from neighbouring villages.
- Community-Led Learning — Three qualified women from the local community are trained and employed by the Trust to deliver structured learning in Mathematics, English, and Science.
The academic programme is designed and mentored by Dr. Purva Bhatter, Founder of KriVid YA, who develops the curriculum, trains educators, and continually refines the learning model based on student progress.
Urjaa demonstrates that sustainable educational change is achieved when children, educators, families, and the community grow together.
Jivika – Learning with Work
Jivika was launched in 2022 to bridge the gap between technical education and industry requirements. The programme equips diploma engineering students with the practical knowledge, workplace skills, and industry exposure required to transition confidently from classroom to employment. The initiative runs at a cost of ₹9 lakh annually.
Implemented in partnership with S.J. Government Polytechnic, Bengaluru, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the programme is offered to students of the 5th and 6th Semester Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (HPT), combining classroom learning with industry-oriented training in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R).
Since its inception, two batches comprising nearly 60 students have successfully completed the programme.

- HVAC Industry — Companies involved in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of central air-conditioning and commercial HVAC systems.
- Refrigeration Industry — Organisations engaged in manufacturing, installation, and servicing of cold rooms, freezer facilities, and industrial refrigeration systems.
- Hospitality Sector — Engineering and maintenance teams of leading hotel groups including Taj Hotels, Novotel, and Radisson Blu.
Jivika is more than a technical training programme — it is an employability initiative that empowers young people with market-relevant skills, professional confidence, and access to meaningful careers.
